Hey friends, I just finished using spray paint to repair some scratches on pic related. But even after it dries it keeps rubbing/ scratching off. Is there any way to stop this?
You might try asking on /k/ but if I were working on that weapon I would try cold blue instead of spray paint.

Dis assemble all of it before you paint it and don't paint the moving parts. A finish that won't add thickness, like blueing or electroplating, is better for something like this. With it being a cast replica it's probably some mystery alloy and paint may be your only option.

Is it plastic or metal? I'm assuming its airsoft.

Metal, the paint that came on it chips off very easily

strip the paint, buy engine enamel, stick it in your oven and bake it as per directions
It wont come off
what the fuck is that mauser
This is a common troll post on /k/.
It is a semivaluable gun, but repros are extremely common. OP posted a dark blurry photo for a reason.

Its obvious airshit, seeing the magazine having a small square lip at the top for 6mm BBs.
But hey, people like to paint their airshit stuff up

Use a base coat of stuff called "great stuff", it will help the paint to stick good.

Did you put on a coat of spray primer before you put on a coat of paint?
Basic question but bears asking
