currently have some from packets and saved some from store melons....not 100% on which these were; they sprouted crazy fast though
had a couple unplanned ones growing in pots last year, and they got to at least softball size before some animal decided to chew into them
probably should have started them earlier, but in MI, the growing season always starts late....if I can't find room to plant them, I have some /out/ places I think they would grow decently well

Cruciferous vegetables are the best. I eat a pound most days.
Can't have an outdoor garden here in New Zealand because it's illegal :(

Bullshit you cant, are you some faggit Aucklander?
>>1190624
lol This is true.
I recommend dehydrating extra zucchini. You can use it later on in the winter. Either dry it in chip form or dry it then powder it. It goes great in all the usual recipes, but the powder form is good for soup stock and related dishes. You can sneak in a tablespoon of powdered zucchini into just about any bread recipe; just replace that much flour.

If you didn't read it, you should. It is about that shitty website trolling an entire country into thinking they can't grow crops. Funny from a "for the lulz" perspective, it is a bit sad because farming is the one thing that I think everyone should do. Preventing or tricking people into thinking they can't do it is a crime from my perspective.

Nope, don't be self sufficient. That's naughty, you must entrust your life to starbucks and chipotle like us.

Look at that smug bastard, he doesn't even care. Sorry man

Why are driplines so expensive?
>>1190360
Yeah, but the cat also killed the rat who would otherwise be living in your house.
I mean squirrel.

Are you buying alcathene from a farm supply store?
I've got sunflowers, tomatoes, green peppers, Anaheim peppers, jalapenos, lettuce, a 2 year old Eggplant bush, sweet potatoes and russet potatoes this year. Also have a katuk tree, persimmon tree, blueberries, and sprouting Moringas. I'm all in containers as well, because of fucking HOA.
Have harvested various peppers, eggplants, and a shitload of tomatoes so far. I'll try to grab some pictures later.

thinned them out a bit as they're growing pretty quick, won't be long before they'll need a final move
tomatoes - not very large yet, but they're coming along
peppers - in small pots, need to grow more
cucumbers - just coming up

does anyone have a good idea for what plants to grow in which seasons?
i live in the south, so winters aren't too harsh and i'm looking to try to grow different plants all seasons
if you know, please try to separate into legumes, fruits, veggies, & roots so I can try small-scale circle cropping

I think lettuce might be something that can be grown nearly year round
