I purchased a Edison bulb and want to build a holder for it.
The lamp should stand on my desk/shelf.
Anyone has good ideas for this?

Buy a socket and attach it to something?
Just what the fuck are you asking retard?
you should have bought a tesla coil instead
I have a friend who builds custom lamps. What they do is pick up antique junk and install the electrical fixtures and bases and stuff. They use stuff like old saxophones and musical instruments, old farm equipment, anything antique. Depending on what your interests are or your history/ancestry you could pick a lot of things. Just a general framework for ideas for you. Check out thrift stores or antiques shops for anything tall or whatever catches your eye. From there installing basic light sockets, wiring, and building some kind of base are mostly straight forward and they have those pieces in the electrical section of your local hardware store.
here's an example.

An actual incandescent? Or LED filament?
Wouldn't a bare bulb at eye level be pretty annoying?
