How do you remove the heel jaw on one of these? I've beat the ever living shit out of it with a hammer and punch and it won't budge.

Take what's holding the jaw to a grinding wheel. You have to brake the tool.

ridgid use a taper pin, it needs to be drifted out from the thin end.
protip: HULK SMASH.
pecking at it peens the head over without breaking the taper loose, and then you've basically made a rivet which you'll need to grind the head off and/or drill out.

Have you tried beating the shit out of it with a hammer and punch?
Either try heating it up with a torch or compressed air can upside down and keep beating it. If at all possible try the easier solutions first.

This. Also can buy new jaw or rebuild kit with springs.
>nb4 pipe wrenches don't have springs.
>get the fuck off my board
Depends. Though I've never had to replace mine, it looks like a peened over pin.

Why do you need to remove the essential part of a tool, OP?
Have you fucked something up?

The right amount of explosives should do the trick.
