diy hoops are not a good idea. Even having a hoop and a backboard but mounting it incorrectly can lead to problems.

Its fine if you are just shooting the ball, but when people dunk, they can get seriously hurt. And if you have your hoop anywhere that isn't inside a gym, people WILL dunk on it.

Cunts used to stand on my dad's car and try to dunk on our basketball net.
