I'm trying to start a new podcast and I'm coming to you assholes for help. I know I want to get a couple condenser mics to record, but I don't know how to get from talking into the mic to having a recorded file on my computer to edit. Please help this rube achieve Success

I use the Scarlett 2i2 for recording vocals and it's perfect for small setups. The 2i2 has two XLR inputs so unless you plan on having more than two mics, this should work good for you. As for software, audacity should be fine for starting out since it's free and fairly simple to use.
