Serious, I've bought test NiMH batteries from multiple ebay sellers, ali, amazon, and a few online sites and none of them were close to their ratings. Normally like 30% or more underrated. Also incredibly light compared to 'real' cells I have. Does anyone have a good supplier for this shit?

lion's have too high internal resistance and can't provide the needed amperage.

Stop buying no-name Chinese crap.
That having been said, I would suggest all electronics. I have been buying from them since I was in highschool (late 80's)
Here is a direct link if you are very very lazy.

Lipo then.

Thanks for the suggestion but that site is spesive. I can buy name brand cordless tool battery packs from bigbox stores and rip them apart for almost two bucks a cell cheaper then them. Maybe that's what I'll have to do. It's crazy that's the best option.

That is a 3 amp hour battery. I rarely see tool batteries with ratings that high.

Let me add to that: you rarely see NiCd tool batteries with an AH rating that high. Li-Ion batteries are easy to find in 5 AH, but not older styles batteries.
