I want to set up my own personal 4chan archive, like 4plebs.

The existing ones often go down, and they only archive boards on the 4chan domain. Personally, I'd like to archive a few more boards, particularly for a few boards I read on other chans (mostly seven ch/tg eight ch /tg/) which I can't find an existing archive for.

Anybody able to point me to the software I'll need, and perhaps an instruction manual?

Check out bibanon on github. They have an archiver but it only archives threads you specify, and it runs on python. So instead of scraping entire boards you can save threads you like, or just automate it to scrape the boards.

Thanks guys. I dunno how I missed that, and if I could automate it to only backup the kinds of threads I actually read that would be even better. I'll check those out.
