What are ways to dampen sounds through a bedroom door? Sounds like banging dishes and slamming doors. Those harsh sudden noises. They seem to come right through the wall and I have two walls with a closet in between. The weak point is a door, but what the hell can you do to a door? Ideally I assume you want to fill the voids around the door, but I don't see how you can do that. I was going to use a rubber seal, but the shit was sticking to the paint when it touched for too long.
only thing that dampens sound is more mass

hanging a heavy blanket on the back of the door helps some people. Making sure that the gap at the bottom of the door is covered helps too, something simple made of cheap cloth or an old towel can work, like a "draft excluder".

earbud headphones and overear defenders
cheap, simple, foolproof.

Yup, when I lived in a party house, earplugs in every night.

If it's anywhere replace the door with a solid wood one rather than hallow
just meme it!

Let this be a lesson
This is why you want to live in a large house. I'm a neet faggot and I coexist with my dad the living room is on the opposite side of the house. From my bedroom, I cannot hear the TV in the living room and vice-versa. Because we can't hear each other, we don't bother each other.
Assuming you're not a neet and have a wife and/or children, you're still going to want quietness and solitude. Constant background noise drives people, like OP, absolutely crazy.
These are the things I think about in my free time.
