Would a desk like this held togehter by dowel pins and screws be solid enough for regular usage?
What about the plate sagging through, would adding additional support prevent that?

There's a lot of furniture sold like that, but I don't feel they last. Depending on it's used, and bumped, it starts to get loose, and about falls apart. If you barely touch it, it'll last. If you screw your girl on it, it'll last a month at most. Add a board or two to the back to give some bracing, and it will help a lot.

Hard to know about the top sagging without knowing the material, the thickness, and the span.

Assuming the top is relatively sturdy by itself, the likely failure point would be the joint at the top left (as illustrated). A single board across the back screwed and glued to the back of all 3 vertical supports would help considerably.

That is, if the sheet material for the vertical supports and top is wood. If the material illustrated is particle board, failure of any screwed or glued attachment is more likely, of course.

Yes, just don't use particle board
Use plenty of dowels and wood glue (triple check your measurements so you don't have to do as much planing to get flat top
Also make sure you give yourself as much working surface as you need and then some. It's always nice to have more space if there are no size constraints.

I made a desk like this, bought steel legs though

Add back plate if you worry about that

Only concerns are the left leg/side. There's an IKEA desk just like that, and the left side like yours is easily kickable by accident and it just rips out the joint. Make a back panel and fix it to it like >>1154386 or get some L brackets if you want something less visible.

I had an idea with wheels but I lost it, sorry

I put one together years ago out of some shit particle board, nails and three tiny braces for shits and giggles. It wobbled something fierce until I leaned it against the wall and put a separate bookcase-like piece in the largest hole. Holds my monitor just fine, I love it despite it being absolute /diy/ shit faggot tier, so you can do anything and be fine I guarantee it.
