Shalom bouise,
Have you ever seen someone throw some chemical into a campfire, and the flame changes color? Cool huh? I've decided that I want to replicate this, but being a greedy sonnofabitch I don't want to spend money on it.
So, I have here some chemicals that I believe will produce some interesting effects. Has anyone made their own fire magic stuff before, or can tell me what will do what and if it is dangerous?
Pic related, very fine magnesium powder, a chunk of gadolinium (which I will probably file off some flakes), a piece of copper, some fine copper pieces with shavings mixed in, and finally some CaCl crystals both large and fine powdered.

copper wire
hydrochloric acid
35% hydrogen peroxide
in a well ventilated area fill a 1000ml beaker with 500ml of hydrochloric (muriatic) acid
add copper wire
have ready 500ml of 35% hydrogen peroxide and add it pipette by pipette until you no longer see the mixture bubbling
heat the mixture (outside, ventilation) until you have nothing but a blue sludge left
let dry, pulverize and throw in your fire
tons of videos on youtube which you should watch, what i wrote was from memory only

Will pure copper metal work if it is finely divided and pulverized? Because the color is produced by electron excitation in the copper atoms, so I don't really see why you would need the chloride or sulfate ionic pair

i can tell you how to make chloroform, but i can't tell you what's leftover after the reaction.
god speed anon

Be careful with the fine powdered magnesiun, it can explode wheb dispersed in the air. Makes super wite color. Also powdered copper can be used. Or iron powder gives sparkles. Calcium will make a bit redish bit not that intense like lithium salt or strontium.
An another anon mentioned before the salts wirk very well, you can nearly color the whole fire with it.

Throw one of these little cocksuckers
In the fire and enjoy a cool green effect for hours
Preferred by any outdoorsy crack head
Newspapers = Green Fire
Magazines = Pink fire
Or vice versa
