Hi /diy/ can anone recommend a pump like in pic related. I used several of them in different aquaponic setups and i recently realised they all start leaking electricity after a while. Sunsun and wiltec were the brands so far.
I haven't found out if its the mechanical parts behind the magnetic bearing or the place where the cable enters the motor housing. Going to test later on today.
I get my sump tanks grounded ASAP, but i need a decent replacement pump.
Any good manufacturers?

just buy one of those cheap 12v replacement pump if it's just for hydroponics.
also consider fogponics, much better.

The filtration to ensure the integrity of the nozzles is kepeing me back from spraying fishpoopwater.

Are you going organic?
I use this shit in my DWC with a CMH light and it's working well for me. Might not clog nozzles too quickly.

How does it leak electricity?

eheim

Some unrecognizable leak at the power cable inlet. The bearing seems to be tight. I tested by submersing diffetent parts of the pump and measuring voltage.

You do realize electricity is not a liquid, right?
>>1154495
No Mr. Smartinson, but Water entering the housing is a liquid that conducts electricity.

But it isn't leaking Electricity smart arse. If OP could speak English properly perhaps we could help?
OP, what are the symptoms of leaking electricity?
If you don't understand that, HOW YU NO IT LEAK?

Wow, you are an unbearable faggot. I measured 50VAC from water to floor of the greenhouse. And my buddy got zapped. After the testing i shortly described some posts ago i am pretty sure that there is water entering were it shouldnt.

12v pumps are always safer. Especially if you or animals contact the water!!
Fogponics is dope but the cheap foggers I used broke super quick.

His terminology is perfectly fine at conveying the idea he intended, you fucking invalid. Only someone missing a fucking chromosome could misunderstand or get upset at his phrasing.
