Louvered glass

In the US they're often called 'jalousie' doors. If people don't know what you're talking about, just say "doors with glass louvers".
They are popular in Florida and other warm regions, but jalousie storm doors may be getting harder to find.

pardon my ignorance, but why would you have a glass storm door?
wouldn't wind and debris break it easily?

I live in Chicago and I have one of these

but the wind and debris doesn't really chip it since the glass louvers are thick, imagine plates as thick as 2.5mm hard drives, or 1x4s. I'd like to believe they're actually tempered glass pieces
>why
That, i'm not sure. My grandpa crafted one of these from pieces we had up here because it's very much a custom door. But he made ours some 40 years ago. REPAIRING the jalousie itself was troublesome since all of them aren't the same size anymore
