I post about speakers and such a lot, I have another problem.

My boss gave me a Kenwood SW-303 powered subwoofer that plays sound nicely, but cuts out sometimes. I have a feeling it only does that when the volume is too loud, but I'm not an expert so I'm not sure. What can I do to figure out exactly what the problem is, and how to fix it? Is there a capacitor I need to replace? A fuse?

My suspect is one of the caps is fucked.

I checked all the electeolytic caps and they seem fine, would one of the ceramic ones be toasted?

Checked them with what? Your eyes? Do you have magic eyes that can test capacitors?

Sounds like you may be hitting the overload on it. Your line in voltage is too high causing a clipped signal which the amp cuts off so it won't damage the sub
