Anyone here have any knowledge about full on pc case modding? I myself am quite interested in doing a total conversion of an object into a pc case. Something along the lines of converting an AT-AT toy into a full on working computer case. My only problem is that I cant find anything interesting to do the conversion with, as all these toys that I could do it with are $100 minimum online, and as a 16 year old without a job I just don't think I would be able to procure something at the price of that. Anyone have recommendations of an object that I should convert into a custom case? Also does anyone have tips on how to proceed with making the case?

I've built about a dozen pcs before and have very basic lighting & circuitry knowledge. I also have access to my school's shop with about any tool you could think of, including 3d printers and laser cutting/engraving machines.

>No tools

>3d printers

Why don't you 3d print something if you have no money, no job, no tools, no shit lying around, no nothing.

>How to put a pc into something
There is google for that, we don't do spoonfeeds with zero specifics.

The only thing you can fit in a AT-AT is a RPi. Even UTX boards will wind up too big. I know because I wanted to make an AT-AT PC, but I need more UMPH than a UTX board can deliver.

Start small and easy. Milk crate for a ghetto case mod.

Scour thrift stores. Found this old turntable at goodwill for 5 dollars. Right now its all pretty much crammed in but I'm in the process of cleaning it all up.
