I have set up a personal gym in a shed

The problem is not the temperature as such, it's the humidity

I have used aircon units in the past to remove humidity, by turning on the compressor for 5 minutes, then manually turning it off - it works great

I can understand why 99% of people would just use an Auto mode, to prolong the life of the unit and to keep electric costs down, but for me it's not ideal

stop trying to drive a nail with a toothbrush

buy a dehumidifier with hot gas defrost
