Starting from the scratch yes.

No in my town but you may find some troubles in bigger cities.
>>
>>1141924
then just get a regular camper trailer. those hipster huts are not made to withstand the vibrations of road travel.

the original intent of "tiny houses" was to circumvent building codes by building a typical stickframe house on a trailer frame.

look nigga, i don't expect you to understand fatigue mechanics, but trust me when i say your tiny house will shake itself apart when you try to actually move it. any potential cost savings (which are miniscule) are going to be gone when you have to repair all the travel damage you've done.

either get a trailer, or just buy a piece of land and build a nice real house. you will have much more square footage and far fewer headaches.

tiny houses are built on trailer frames to take advantage of legal loopholes. they aren't actually intended to ever be moved.
>>
>>1141933
how the fuck do third world countries have such clean streets?

like everything looks all worn down where you live, but somehow clean at the same time.

It wouldnt be a permanent thing im not even starting it rn I just needed some opinions I have somewhere to keep and build it right now. But eventually when im finished id like to move out to a good three acre plot. So Id only really be moving it once. But I understand its not meant to be on a trailer forever and eventually want to figure a way to hook it up permanently to a water and electric line. And have it just on the ground while I save for a real house.
>>
>>1141945
f you build it on a trailer, it's staying on that trailer forever unless you want to spend the money to have it un-built from the trailer and then rebuilt on a foundation. Your best option for getting it "off" of the trailer would just be sinking the trailer into the ground so it just looks like it's on the ground, but it's actually still attached to the trailer.

Tiny homes that have those big trailer wheels on them look like shit
>>
>>1141945
you are putting the cart before the horse my man. get the land first, then build.

a tent on a piece of land you own is better than a tiny house you own on a piece of land you are renting.
>>
>>1141947
im inclined to agree with this anon, OP.

If you want a tiny house still, get the land it will be permanently on first, and then build it on a trailer or the land itself or however you want to do it. Just don't risk your own hard work and money and time by thinking that traveling with the house would be a good idea
>>
>>1141947
>>1141948
Thanks guys I just needed a second opinion. It wasnt meant to be a permanent thing im probably just going to keep it on the land im building it on and sell it when im done with it (ill only need it for tops 4 years just long enough for me to save enough, just looking for a diy, I have alot of the supplies I need anyway)
>>
>>1141951
do you already own the land?
>>
>>1141952
Yeah, wanting to move to the country soon though
>>
>>1141954
so why do you want to build the tiny house? i'm not understanding why you don't just build a real house on the land you have.
>>
Theres already a house there and its not permanent.
>>
/diy/ will shit on you for the tiny house meme, and they aren't completely wrong, but they aren't completely right.

The tiny house on a trailer is a meme and you shouldn't do it. They are too expensive for the size and aren't designed to travel. They also circumvent building codes in the cities that hipsters like to live in.

If you don't need to move it then you just build it like a traditional house. I live in 400 sq ft. It's pier and beam construction and has everything I need. I live in a small town so I don't have any building codes to worry about but if I remember correctly most cities make you build at least 500 sq ft, which isn't that much bigger.

If you do it right you can build it for $30k like I did but some people go stupid and spend shitloads on them, don't be like that. They do cost you more per sq ft than a normal house but I think it makes up for it to not have to spend $200k minimum to start.
>>
Eat shit for not using a search engine. Fuck off for not doing you homework.

You should not need anything from /diy/ on portable crab meat shacks. Asking here means YOU FAILED TO LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Google, shithead. FUCKING GOOGLE. Not here.

either build what is essentially a large shed, or use a camper or even a cargo trailer

>>1141926
>then just get a regular camper trailer
