So I seem to find that a few boards have "book lists" or "required reading". What would be on a /diy/ book list?

Any engineering and physics book.

Probably a general engineering book and a book that reviews algebra and touches on calculus. /diy/ has a pretty broad range of topics.
There quite out of date but i use some of my dads school books as a reference guide because they cover almost everything on the subject n detail. I'll post up a pick when i get home
Or any book on writing, maybe a How to Write a DIY Book book.

>literally shows you step by step how to:
>cut down a tree
>hew it
>saw into boards
>use as timber frames
>notch and stack for making a cabin
>plane it
>use different types of joints
these people who say they want to go live off the grid aren't looking very hard

Mine has been pretty useful. It's mostly good for tables and some oddball info that would take some digging to find online.
