Long story short I lost access to my hammers and have to replace them in my workshop. The problem is I was given those by father and, truth be told, don't even know how to properly call them. So first thing is name (or shop in Europe selling those) of hammer similar to this drawing.
The other thing is, since I have lathe I'm thinking of recreating it from some scrap metal. What kind of steel should I look for? Simple carbon steel and then heat-treat it after shaping on lathe?
Ball peen hammer?

Not really, that's the problem. Ball peen is flat on the end, my old hammer head was part of sphere.
Looks like some type of sheet metal hammer

One side of a ball peen is ball shaped and spherical, the other is flat.

I simply love you, it's the forming hammer type, now finding this in shop will be way easier.
But still, does making hammer have sense?
