Starting up a business.
Is marble better to import in the stone or slab form. Also what type sells better?
Suggestions?

not trying to put your idea down but people dont just start a marble business, you need to work in the industry before hand. do you have any idea on how to run a saw, which grinders to use, which blades, wet pad vs dry pad, making seams, doing color work, stoning? stone is especially hard to work with because how expensive it is and one scratch on a slab can set you back hundreds if not thousands of dollars. or you cut a vanity top 1/4" short and now you cant use that piece without it looking like shit. say you do everything right and when you go to install the piece breaks in half, dont expect the customer to pay for the same piece again. if you are serious about learning ama and ill help you with anything i know

Go to /biz/, what you get here is people demanding that you know the craft and essence of something before you sell it. /biz/ is filled with many many people who earn a lot of money selling shit that they know nothing about. We won't help you

Get into cultured marble biz. Quartzite and the like are all the rage and real stone is too expensive for most consumers. I assume you just want to do retail and not installation so you also need to create a largescale logistics network including production and shipping as well as marketing and sales. Good luck to you.

The advice in this thread alone is much better advice than he ever could get on /biz/
