They're stainless steel and I bought them for dirty tweezer work because I don't want to ruin my nice tweezers.

Also, they have a knurled texture on the end which is kinda good.

No one seems to be posting their hauls, so i will contribute more. The tascam portastudio 488 was picked up for 15 bucks, needed a 3 dollar capstan belt and deoxit and it was recording, though i have yet to adjust the bias oscillator which is badly misaligned. The sony pen mics are not earth shattering, but the are awesome for sax, with cases and original shitty plastic stands for 5 dollars. I found a sax in the trash about 10 years older than the one in the picture, had 300 dollars worth of mouth pieces in the nearly flawless original instrument case.

I had an awesome one last month. An elevator repair company was shutting down and auctioning off whatever was laying around.

$100 got me 6000 meters of wire. This is only some of it. Hundreds of screw terminals, switches, relays, little incandescent bulbs, an old scope, some really nice storage bins, a Weller soldering iron, a jigsaw, and some good hand tools.

I don't have a photo but I bought 6 Puch-style mopeds of various makes for a grand total.
Once they're fixed up, they'll all sell for at least
$1500.

I purchased a Casiotone mt-100 for 8 euro's
This little keyboard has a upD931 chip that you can directly talk to with a micro controller.
Thus you can create your own waveforms.
I intend to build a companion unit with a arduino or rpi that enables me to do al kinds of crazy shit

Nah. Michigan. There's a surprisingly large amount of 70s and 80s mopeds here but most of them are sitting in garages and barns slowly rusting to death.

The tool box was in the trash with the old east wing hammer in it, the mora knife and chisels were 5 dollars at an estate sale, coping saw was a dollar, and palm sander was 5 bucks.

Those helping hands are shit.
Personally I don't like being limited so I got big fuck-you helping hands with a fat steel base and long, thick wires. That, and a head-mounted magnifier.

Will come back tomorrow and post my dumpster dive finds from last year. Too cheap to buy nice things.
