Im remodeling our basement and putting up new ceiling tile. My grandfather was the last one to do anything with it and he put support wires fuckin everywhere randomly it turned into this huge cluster fuck getting the old tiles down where I broke damn near every tile getting them down. Seeing as I don't want to ruin the new ones before I get them up there what's the best way to set up supports. I've read that you only need support about every three joists. You guys got any advice? I don't want the fucking thing to cave in from lack of support.

use fucking google next time we are not your personal google
you dont tell us what kind of tiles so no one will know, go ahead and put as many support as you like since you obviously dont do research

Take that shit back and put up some can lights and drywall the ceiling. Srlsy, those drop ceilings are the bane of my existence, and it looks like you'd get a hell of a lot of room without the drop tiles.
Ours had those 12x12 glue up pieces of shit glued onto furring strips when we bought our house. Thought about painting the beams and subfloor above, but it was going to turn into a huge pain in the ass the way my wife wanted it done.
I've found that one support wire ever 4 to 6 feet on every main T-bar is enough. However, if you're adding clip-to-track pot lights, you may want to leave more support around the fixture.
Another alternative is to use fiberglass type ceiling panels. They're much lighter, a bit cheaper, and can handle more flexing to get them into PITA spots.

Yeah this is the main reason for the drop ceiling. If it was my house and not my father's I'd leave the fucking ceiling open. But literally every wire and duct runs through there so it's nice to be able to get to those easyaa
The main problem I've run into with those is to make sure the tracks are level and square, otherwise it's a pain in the ass to get tiles in without breaking the corners.
