I have just made my first silicon Mould of a structural join/connector. The part will be bearing approx 15kg.
What does one suggest the strongest, most cost effective, uv stable material would be?
I need to produce about 100 parts and each part will consume around 180ml.
Any suggestions are welcome
Post pic of part and describe use case.
You don't have many options for cold casting, mainly just epoxy resin, which isn't very strong. Do you have any other manufacturing options?
Unable to upload photo at moment, it is basically a hexagon shaped joiner which I am making a sculpture from.
From the joiner I will be using short lengths of pvc conduit (cheap/free) to bring form and shape.
As for other methods I am open to ideas but need to be sensible I.e not going forge some steel in my yard, although that would be fun.

Pretty much anything? Not sure wtf u mean. I lay down modling clay, rol it smooth, throw a disposible cup or somthing on it with 2 holes on ends. One end gets clay packet around the bottom and other end gets silicone. Razor knife it in half or pour in 2 pours.
Youtube silicone mold making and it shoukd help more

PTM&W PT8902, very rigid for a resin and very, very strong, surpassing even ABS.
Enjoy your cancer tho.

Oh and it needs a heated pressure chamber.
