Somewhat diy, rather the three things every single handyman should have with him at all times, a flashlight, a knife, and a multitool.
Ik Leatherman is better than sog but it was a gift, and works well enough i cant justify apending on a wave just yet (it replaced a wingman)
Knife is a Doug Ritter Mini Griptilian in m390 which is imo the best stainless steel for work (less than a month old so no wear really)
Flashlight is a Fenix PD35 Tac. Also not evem a month old
Basically i got a new edc for each of these 3 items in the last month and a half. R8 m8

Tape measure
Pen
Paper
Everything else is just bullshit you don't really need until you get your tool box out the van anyway.

Imo i find these 3 items getting more use than everything else in my toolbox so why not
I have that sog too. Switch plier 2.0....
It's... OK. More quirky/gimmicky than practical. If you don't need spring pliers, the skeletool is a better, similarly styled tool.
For me it's a flashlight(hugsby 2xAAA), precision screwdriver(2 tiny Philips, 2 tiny flat), Leatherman blast, and my phone.
hammer
flannel hat

Sog is obv impractical but you know as well as me that its fun to play with. The convenience of pliers is nice too tho.
Keep a folding pruning saw in your car.
