M is the manufacturer's logo, not part of the part number. googling 'semiconductor company logos' didnt give anything resembling the pic.

Is that line-connected on the left? Optotransistor or optotriac.

Since there's already a bridge next to it, I'd say it's an optocoupler. If this is some telephone thing, probably a transistor output opto.
