Anyone on /diy/ install surveillance cameras for a living or think they can help me out?
I bought this camera system and 4tb HDD.
I have it set up and It's working pretty well for a cheap ass system.
But I can't figure out how (if It's possible), I can get email alerts and also how easy is it for someone to watch me jerking off though my camera system?
I don't know much about surveillance cameras as you can see.
The DVR does not have a password (mostly because I haven't figured out how to change it yet), But my cloud account does and the monitoring app on my phone also has a password.
My DVR is connected to my router with an Ethernet cord.
How easy would it be for someone to log into my system and watch me jerk off or delete recordings, ect?
How do I protect myself?
I'm fairly certain this system has the ability to email me when there is motion and a few other things but I can't figure out how to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I'll post the home menu of the DVR if that helps
This is the system I bought

Other living room cam
The other 2 I haven't put up yet, I'm going to point one outside my door and the other overlooking my driveway.
I know this is probably a dumbass question but is this for MY email? What does SSL mean?

SSL means Secure Sockets Layer. It's encryption.
When it sends an email, it will connect to the specified SMTP server on port 25, and if you check that box, it'll make an encrypted connection.

And yes, it's for your email. Your mail provider will have an SMTP server that will send mail on your behalf, as long as you log in.
Use your email, or create an account specially for this, then provide the software with your username and password.
If you don't know what the SMTP server address is, just google your mail provider + smtp and it'll come up.
