How would one go about creating a homemade Styrofoam RC plane?
>>1124690
Go to Flight Test , or RC groups, or google.
>>1124712
Flite Test is garbage, real men use hot wire cutting or balsa
>>1124690
Buy a transmitter, a receiver, motor with prop, some servos, battery and charger. Physical design isn't as important and can be even worst than OP. Modern motors can fly a styrofoam brick.
>>1124816
id love to see a Styrofoam stick flying
>>1124717
Hotwire cutting is comfy as fuck. I miss making stuff out of foam
>>1124690
Dont do what i did.
Gets battery
Gets motor
Gets styrofoam glider
Throw it
Never to be seen again.
Fuuuuuu......
>>1124823
Haha you guys look like the biggest faggots in the world when you use the word "comfy" like that. Jesus Christ faggots on the bord are breeding...
>>1124816
>Physical design isn't as important
Eh, you can have all the power that you want, but if it doesn't have any stability it can and will crash with no survivors
>>1125126
This. Physical design at these speeds is mostly about stability & total mass.

>said the uptight faggot
>>1124897
Did you just forget about the rc part?
>>1124690
Those leading edges makes my eyes bleed
>>1129044
you're not the only one
>>1124690

is this bait? you havent even been clear on whether you mean design or build
could you possibly put less effort into your OP?

Don't knock it 'till you try it. They work great at high alpha, and they're draggier which can be a big benefit for aerobatics (especially downlines).
>>1129588
The reason they're able to handle a high AoA is because of the very low aspect ratio
