Show me good channels!
I only found one recently that I liked and I guess everyone knows this one but well I am just starting the thread:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkkxNOUNP8kNT7Gvpc1MjJg/videos
Share your best channels.
(wood working, electro, and any kind of diy can come.)

Love this guy
>>1119528
This guy has a relaxing voice. I don't give a shit about digging wells but I watched just for the sake of watching.

Okay so apparently no one has favorite channels on /diy/? What the fuck?
I thought the thread will be full of cool recomemendations...

i like this guy don't really watch DIY channels much
>I thought the thread will be full of cool recomemendations
this board is about doing, not watching.
(also youtube is only really good for funny cat videos)

I found it pretty helpful for learning crafts and stuff. There is just way too much trash content.
AvE and EEVBlog

myfordboy and this old tony are my current favorites
>>1119748
My gut says there is something shady about him. My guess is either he's a pedophophile, or Welsh. Either way he can't be trusted.

Also big Clive

I like myfordboy as much for his casting vids as his machining vids. I've learned a decent amount about gating (gateing?) and what to worry about versus not worry about from him. He makes ramming up a mould look SO damned easy, it should be criminal. I know he has failures, but sheesh.
Also obligatory Paul Sellers vote as well.
GreatScott!

I really like Peter Brown

Matthias Wandel is best mostly practical wood working youtuber. Good editing, no stupid background music, makes some neat tools almost entirely out of wood and sells the plans for all of it on his website.
Clickspring for your precision brass machining porn. He just started on a build of the antikythera machine.
Paul Sellers for extremely precise woodworking with hand tools.
>>1119748
Bible thumper with more talk than skills. Makes click bait titles for all his vids. His son is cute as a girl though.
This Old Tony

Metalworking mainly. Has skill and humor.
Jamie Mantzel
Fiberglass boats, tropical off grid living, giant robots, castle building, cult leading.

Technically not youtube but The Woodwright's Shop is one of the best sources of traditional American woodworking, and has been running since the 70s. Roy Underhill is basically the Bob Ross of woodworking.
Most episodes are done entirely in one take and so he's basically out of breath near the end of each one, but his skills and knowledge are fantastic.
You should be able to watch it online:

I'm really enjoying seeing all that old machinery in such good shape and still in use.
Thanks.

All of my recommendations are acceptable for learning and also for falling asleep to.
>WoolyWondersCrochet
As the name suggests she has loads of videos that explain how to crochet various clothing and blankets. Top quality stuff.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyToSTyaK64TeKwkST6a7AQ
>Clickspring
Complete and in-depth how-to making a clock from absolute scratch (including making quite a few tools necessary to do so himself). Also fantastic for general metal lathing.

>Tips From a Shiprwight
Complete guide (still ongoing but to finish soon) on how to build a working skiff boat from scratch including how and where and what type of wood to use, as well as various other videos on boat repair and maintenance.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClPa3pmqKwApysaYi7B7Nlg
>Bob Hansler
A survivalist type channel. No specific focus but loads of info on making and setting various traps, techniques on cleaning and cooking different animals, and so on. Guy was about to get his own show on Discovery Channel but was struck by illness and is still unsure whether he will ever see again.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4UFg2LNd0YAcSU6RAhLcww
>Ja. Townshend & Son
The least Diy on the list but still loads of info on how things were done back in the 18th century US specifically with regards to food but also other things.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxr2d4As312LulcajAkKJYw
>Navin Khambhala # crazyNK
India: the channel. But really if you can appreciate him for what he is doing the channel is fucking amazing. Only video on Youtube currently of how to make an electric motor from "scratch" that I know of too.
https://www.youtube.com/user/nfornavin/featured
>Applied Science
Guy made his own Scanning Electron Microscope. 'Nuff said. He doesn't film as much as you would want though. Just highlights. I would ill for him to have made a from A to Z guide on it.
