Just happened to find this 3Com Palm III in my garage, but it refuses to turn on, only the screen glows and the piezo emits a continuous harsh noise. Google couldn't help me this time, sadly.
There's a slot on the rear side of the PCB, but i don't think it's for a RAM card that's missing, also i've inspected the PCB and everything seems alright.
Have some of you got the same model and can help me out?
Already asked on /g/ but some memelords showed up and the thread got archived

I don't know, but i'm kinda interested in old computational devices so..
Show PCB plizz
Smear '/diy/' on the screen with your own faeces

Not a meme thread, sorry buddy

get another one from the goodwill auction site and do something with that one instead.
There's always shit like that on sale that goes for 3 dollars because noone wants it anymore.
Amusing, but the effort required to reuse old stuff like that isn't worth it now that you can get raspi type microcontroller kits for under ten dollars

That slot is for a RAM card, which is what the palm uses for storage. The highest I've ever heard of somebody going was 16MB, and I'm pretty sure that came with 1MB originally.
