Iám repairing my Mr.Coffee pot, I found that one of the fuses was open (I tested the continuity). There are two fuses serial connected, my question is: Why two fused instead of one? Can I just bypass one of the fuses, what are the consequences of this? Can I replace it with a different fuse or does it have to be the same one? The fuse is an SF214E. I know that the best logical solution is ordering a set of this fuses from eBay, but I was looking for something more immediate.

either the fuse went bad
or
the thermostat (the bottome thing in white bolted to the coil) went bad making the temperature rise so high one of the fuses went out
Two is probably for increased safety.
Guessing the fuse is 214 degrees C.
I'd just bypass it if the other one is good.

If they are both the same just put a jumper around the open one.
Leave it in place to support the jumper
yeah, 216ºC, 250V/10A. Thanks, I guess I'll just jump it to the other one, I just wanted to know if there was like a big risk on leaving it with just one fuse.
