I got this switchblade when I was 11 in bolivia. The blade wasn't closing into the body all the way so I figured it was time to change the spring. Any idea of how I can go about replacing this? Could I just wrap spring steel around a pen and loosen it to shape by hand? Also the blade says stainless steel, is it worth sharpening? Or is it shitty china steel. Can I replace it with a prefab? I have a drill and a dremel tool

Wind a new spring, or measure the one you've got and source one with the same specs.

Quite a few hobby stores sell stainless springs, might take a bit of looking around though.
Hard to say what the blade is like, if anything you've got a template there already if you wanted to make a new one with just some stock removal

It's always worth sharpening, however it it's not a well known brand, and just stamped "stainless steel" there is a pretty good chance that it is cheap chinesium.

it is definitely chinesium 200% if it is labled "stainless steel" on a knife, that is the dollar store tire of knife material and dollar store tier of labelling
