So I've been looking around for custom fit car covers but they are hellava expensive. So i started looking into making my own.
Problem is i can't find anything solid on how to go about making one or even what they are made of.
I'm guessing some kind of polyster.
I'll obviously need something that is slightly weather resistant as well as dust resistant.
Anyone ever go about creating one of these.
>Pic very related although it doesnt have to be that great

Do you have a picture of what that ends up looking like?

Damn, I know a guy who did this for a TR6 he has. He used the same canvas/cloth material you see used on sailboats and some power cruisers for their biminis. He is over seas so I can't get anymore info. But he did cut & sew it himself... not sure if it was cheaper though.
I have been told that while they do offer protection, longterm there can be some issues with light scuffing of the paint from the fabric moving against the surface from wind. Easily rectified with a good coat of wax. But if you don't have a garage to park it in, it's better than nothing.
