Alright guys, just pulled up some tile flooring in my basement and I'm onto this adhesive now. The plan is to level out the floor so I can put down an underlay and subsequently some wood snap together flooring. My question is, what's the best way to remove this adhesive?

That is like asking whats the best way to remove your fingers. There are many ways. None of them are easy or pleasant.
Heat, chemicals, power scrapers, the list goes on. Either way you are looking at a day of hell.

I would just throw some self-leveling concrete on it and call it a day. That will cover up the adhesive and level the floor out for you.

just throw some chemicals on it, you dont have to get it all up. Put a fairly good underlayment for you flooring. it will be fine.
