Just wash your cat and wash you house. This gets rid of fleas. Any repellent you use isn't going to work unless you do that anyways.

Dawn dish soap. Wash the cat with that shit. Vacuum carpets, specially parts that don't get much light. Coconut oil or something like that other anon mentioned, make sure it's not toxic.
You'll need to repeat for like a week or two.
The washing should take a good ten minutes, make sure you got warm water and a heater so he doesn't get sick.

This right here. I'm the anon who recommended D.E. and I forgot to mention Dawn. We use it on our outsoor cat once a month and it works very well at flea removal and keeping the cat from smelling like piss. I recommend trimming cats claws beforehand and using a towel / blowdryer after a warm bath.
