Just posting some photos of the cabinets I've built for home made music equipment.
the big one will hopefully house a tape player which can be played with the keyboard by slowing down and speeding up the motor. Its a D.I.Y Melotron.
the smaller one I hope to house my shitty 303 replica in.
I have a few more scraps of this type of wood, I salvaged it from and old set chest of draws.
Hopefully I have enough to make some fancy Eurorack housing.
Happy christmas DIY, have a productive 2017 :)
feel free to post current projects you are working on
pretty good
Nice work OP
Mmmm very cool O'Pea! I don't really have a WIP at the moment. I guess I'm cleaning-up and refurbing this old 1921 Westinghouse radio, but that's not quite the same as building something.

ah nice, is it working?
I have never seen a radio like that, curious as to what the 'Tickler' pot does.
As to my boxes, the carpentry is the easy bit unfortunately. Im just starting out with electronics but intend on putting in a walkman and a few guitar pedals. The walkmans motor while have a variable speed controlled as per key.
the dream is to use a 4track instead of the walkman.
ill post some more pics as i go.
what KRK's are they? mind taking a photo of your setup?

Not totally sure if it's working yet, I have to check out all the components before I fire it up, lest I destroy it. It appears that everthing's in great condition so it probably does work.
As I understand it the tickler adjusts the strength of the oscillation needed to amplify the radio signal, but I'm still not totally clear about how it all works. This radio is so old it was sold with headsets because speakers weren't yet available.
Here's my setup btw. The KRKs are the first generation RP-8s, got the 10s subwoofer as well. I like them just fine, but some people hate them for some reason.
