In any case, you shouldn't smoke through aluminum foil if it can be avoided, lighter flames burn hot enough to vaporize the aluminum. A better option is a screen from a faucet, you can visit public/business restrooms and try to unscrew them until you find a good one. Some are plastic and not suitable for smoking. We always would heat the screens until glowing red before use too, just in case. It weakens the metal, but it's better than getting a lungful of tin or zinc or something.
