Hey friends, do you know where to get pic related but without having to pay $20 because muh Swiss made victorinox.

So you want a small bit wrench, but you want it made cheaply in mainland china?
Cant find some garbage on ebay?
>>1101758
>bit wrench
Fuck I found now, pretty much the same but for $5 with a couple bits more. I'm not a native english speaker so I didn't knew the correct name for that tool.
Also sorry for my poor english.
>>1101755
the cost of what it takes to make a one off something remotely similar to that (lathe, broaches, torch, vice, hammer, material for a mold for the bit holder, milling machine for making the mold, plastic/rubber injection machine), its cheaper to just spend the $20
granted you can buy bits for it from different manufacturers, not all bits are of the same quality. buying cheap just means your bits will just wear out faster.
>>1101769
>those out of order bits
Craftsman sells something similar for like $15ish
>>1101880
>buying chinese craftsman garbage
better off buying it straight from china on ebay for 1/4 of the price

Life time guarantee.
>>1101896
>wanting to back to sears repeatedly
>>1101896
>Life time guarantee.
Or you could just buy 4 in the first place, seeing how its a small piece of metal that most likely isnt going to break
>>1101896
Oh look, someone who has never dealt with returning something at Sears.
>>1101904
walk in with broken box wrench i used a cheater bar on, wait around a bit, walk out with new wrench no questions asked, didn't even get shit for engraving my initials in it.
granted this was 10 years ago, i never tried to return power tools, then again craftsman power tools are known to be shit anyways, now they just about all are.
>>1101904
Not really all that bad desu... had a passthrough ratchet break (mechanism acting up). Took it in, was told they had to mail it... showed up like 3 days later...

Craftsman power tools are not covered by the lifetime warranty, regardless.
Besides, they are mostly Ryobis/Milwaukees these days. Some of the turds on here will crow from the rooftops how nice Milwaukees are but put the exact same tool in a Craftsman shell and its shit-tier all of a sudden.
>>1101899
>most likely isnt going to break
Have you ever even used a screwdriver? Those bits shatter like glass the second it hits resistance. The bits won't even be the correct sizes so you'll get maybe 20% contact at the edges. The bit holding bar will be so far out of tolerance the bits will just drop out making it a bitch to re-find the fucking thing if you're working inside something, if you're lucky they'll glue a magnet to the inside.

>Besides, they are mostly Ryobis/Milwaukees these days
Of course
>>1101976
Hey I agree with you.
Im just not sure how buying it from sears at a premium for the same shit quality is going to change that.
Op here, all I have found seems to be shit, should I buy the original or make one? It can't be that hard. I may change the design though
Sorry for my poor english.
>>1102013
I mean, this is a board called "Do it yourself", so if you can then of course you should.
>>1102016
Well maybe I will, maybe I will, anon.
Go to horror fraught.
>>1102013
Buy the craftsman, so when you need the tool and it breaks you can have a new one mailed to you a week later.
>>1102028
kek I ended with this masterpiece, it serves its purpose tho.
Sorry for the bad english.

I always just hand my broken tool to an associate and then walk out the door with a new one. If you cant do that you must have absolutely no social skills.
>>1103936
>If you cant do that you must have absolutely no social skills.
Im not sure I understand
You are doing a tool warranty, it has nothing to do with social skills
proskit(chinese brand) actually makes a pretty nice ratcheting angle screw driver like that. It was $12 when it was on DX before(no longer stocked)
The bits on it were actually well heat treated too. I would say its a better set than the victorinox one.

just found it on gearbest for $9.

I'm ordering a 2nd one.

That's the handle most of those bits SHOULD have had. T-handles work well.
