Don't know if I can get help here or not, but my ceiling fan lights blew out all at once when I flipped on the wall switch. New bulbs don't work, but the ceiling fan still does. I'm trying to bypass the wattage limiter to see if that fixes it, but I don't know how to reconnect the wires. It's got three wires - a blue one that connects to the pull chain switch, a red on that connects to the 9-pin connector, and a white one that's crimped to three wires from the bulbs. If I disconnect those, what do I reconnect them to?

Holy shit, you probably shouldn't be doing this.

Well whatever.

Find out what your incoming neutral wire connects to, and find out what your 120 connects to. Trace one or the other back to the crimped wires for the lights.

Or, if you have 2 sets of 3 crimped wires, it doesn't really matter how you connect them. The either of them can be 120 or neutral.

Actually, disregard this. Blue to red, remove and tape the white.

Thanks. So is the white just a neutral to the limiter?

That fixed it. Lights and fan are both working. Thanks a lot!

You should maybe think about replacing the limiter.

I'm not an electrician. I just saw your thread and wanted to post to say this: If you fuck up the power, you can start a house fire up in the attic.
I'm not kidding. This happened to a friend of mine and her house burned, badly. Be careful.

Holy shit, I took a complete guess. Wow! That was lucky. I'm still not entirely sure what those wires do.
