Wait just a moment, I'm pretty sure that water is loosely diamagnetic, like a weaker superconductor. When a magnetic field attempts to change near the water, it will oppose this change. In practice, if you spin magnets (or electromagnets) very fast near a wet carpet, you may be able to move the water slowly off the carpet, but only in a horizontal direction. You'd need to bring the puddle off the carpet and onto something that it won't soak into in order to clean it up. Or even cheaper, vent all the air from your house and let the vacuum evaporate all the water.

As a plumber, I really hate these things. Something somewhere always gets clogged eventually. Then when someone flushes the toilet, all hell breaks loose because the toilet is a fucking pump. Gysters of shit spew out the vent pipes, across roofs, down gutters, shit blasts ceilings in lower apartments from sinks, toilets, and tubs.

The kicker is that the system is still like that. The owner didn't want to have a sewage pump installed in the upper house and have a check valve installed to prevent that from happening again. Another septic field was out of the question.

not sure if the OP cares anymore but you could use UV lights to take out any growth also if you use your many (what looks like servers) and water cool it you should get water hot enough for coffee and ramen.
