Hey guys has anyone ever done deep flash cable in order to unbrick a xiaomi?

I'm following this tutorial but everytime I plug-in the usb cable with the alluminium wire the phone still goes to battery charging mode, as it was not supposed to.

Anyone with the minimal eletrical knowledge can explain what am I doing wrong?

Any suggestions are welcome

OP here, turns out the trick was plugging the cable back in on another usb port. Device got recognized and I installed a new official rom
