20cm Diameter, normal steel, hollow.
Don't have the tools yet. I want to buy some basic metalworking/welding gear soon and this metal sphere idea got me thinking what I'd need to make one myself.

Get online and find a metal float for oilfield or self filling water stations for faggot cows. Probably will have a nut welded on it. Just grind it down and fill the hole with a washer or torch it out if weight has to be perfect.

You could significantly improve that setup by blocking off one end of the ol' gouge, tapping a hole on the side so you can attach a shop vac to blow out the bits so that it doesn't get clogged.
