Trying to think of cheaper ways of powering a 12v compressor/inflator. It needs to draw 10-15A max, the lower cost adapters that are only like 5A won't quite cut it.
My first guesses would be either a battery charger/jumper or a pc power supply.

Literally Google 15 amp dc power supply

PC power supply is a goto for this type of thing.
If you want a power supply that hauls the mail, get a DPS-1200FB server power supply. You only need a resistor to make it work.

Car battery or SLA in parallel with a charger
If you can find one for free I would definitely say use a pc power supply, even shitty ones can crank out that kind of amperage on the 12v line no sweat. Other options might be salvaging a laptop power supply, careful though as many are more than 12v.

Build a 12 volt linear power supply. Find and an old single battery APC UPS and pull the power transformer out of it. 400 va or higher will work fine. Google linear power supply for a schematic.
I built one this way. Mine can handle 10 amps regulated. 30 amps unregulated.
Cheapest way would be to go to Walmart with 50-60 bucks in your pocket and buy a 3 gallon Campbell hausfeld compressor and be done with it.
If you want to put a little effort into it, go on Craigslist and buy and old tower for like $20 or maybe even get it for free. Chances are it will have a 300-500w psu in it. Google "atx bench top power supply" and follow the instructions. I have an older one I hacked up that was like 400 or 500 watts that could do 35 amps on the 12 volt line. I took a small plastic container from Walmart and some other shit online and made a neat transparent case for it.

it's going to be used as a vacuum pump, so a compressor wouldn't be helpful....unless it's with a HF air vacuum
I have not seen any computer stuff for free within the past few months, I might look at like goodwill for a junk tower....I can get a new PSU for $20
