I have 10 laser pens of the same type(cheap Chinese ones) in aluminum and the threads are a bit loose, is there any way to improve the friction for the threads by applying some friction grease/paste? its for adjusting the focus of the lens so right now there is a slight wiggling room that i would like to get rid of.
I would use Teflon tape

One turn of Teflon tape might do the trick.

Also being aluminum you could out of round the body to make the threads grab a little better. I would stick with the tape.

tin the threads with solder
So with teflon tape it would be possible to screw it back and forth without it wearing out?

I would think for a while. You will have to redo it, but it is cheaper and cleaner that a paste.
For my c6 diy lasers they just use small springs and go inside the diode module and press against the lens
