Any opinions on this one?
I would use it mostly for screwing and drilling smaller holes into wood, but can i drill a brickwall with it if i have to?
It's a Makita DF330DWE.
>>
This one is much better. More ergonomic. Lighter, more power, longer run time. I've had both. The CXT Brushless is one of the best tools I've purchased this year.
>>
>>1065398
Have the same one, very reliable and powerfull!

Oh and no. No hammer function on either. There is a CXT combi drill though ugh the HP332 but it'll cost a lot more obviously.
>>
>>1065398
Never cheap out on your drill. You will regret it as soon as you actualy have to drill something.
>>
>>1065408
>I've never owned or used this drill
>>
I've never had any of these specific ones but if you're going to cheap out on a drill get a corded one.

I drilled bricks without hammer function before, not really a problem with the german type.
Also couldn't find that one >>1065401 on the official page. Amazon doesn't have them either.
I looked at this model before, not sure if i want to drop 350€ on it right now, considering that it won't see too much use during the next months. pic related

I personally don't use combi drills for their hammer action but I have the DHP481 as my main drill and I'd say it's a decent hammer action.

If you're looking at 18v you could get away with just getting one battery if it's getting little use. I'm looking at buying a DHP484 for the in-laws. They look a good alternative to the 480 and 481.
>>
>>1065398

Brick, as in red clay brick, you'd want a hammer function

Empty concrete block you can get by without but you run.the risk of burning up the bit if you do many holes.

Even then if you find you have to drill into concrete every weekend, go corded.

That's what the bricks around here look like for the most part. Similar to a cinder block but made out of clay.

>>1065444
Can't find the DHP484 on their page, seems like they don't offer the full product line in Germany.
>>
>>1065469

>hue hue

Well i have no experience with this so i cant say
>>
>>1065398
I have this one and I use it for electronics projects. Plastic enclosures, sheet metal drilling. It's a hobby tier tool, not a work tool.
>>
>>1065503
That's more or less what i have in mind. Plus screwing shit to the wall.
>>
>>1065684
Basically, you'll love it until you have to drill into brick or concrete, then you'll find it totally useless. You can get a corded hammer drill at WalMart for $30 though (in the States at least).
>>
>>1065696

For $30 extra you might as well get the 18v hammer version.
>>
>>1065696

>not a rotary hammer

ok but you are fucking lazy btw
>and drilling

>into brick
troll tier

if you were asking about a cheap shit percussion hammer drill i would be laughing but srsly no this thing is a toy.

If you have touse it for the whole day it isnt that good as the weight placement is mostly on the top front because it has a light battery(I use it in an industrial environment where i have to screw in and out thousands of screws daily).
Brick wall shouldnt be a problem for it but youll have to charge the batteries often if you plan on using it for a longer period.
>>
>>1065835
what were you trying to prove? because if you thought i would be impressed then i'm not.
what battery its a piece of shit.
>>
>>1065993
Why are you here?
>>
>>1065993
It can drill you idiot, end of story.
>>
>>1065398
I own on

good stuff, but I would rather use a Bosch
>>
>>1067306
Also heats like a bitch and yes you can
>>
>>1065405
The hammer feature on hand drills is like a light vibrator... Just it running over a saw tooth cam.

Get a normal drill, forget the hammer feature. If you are ever drilling stone, just rent a proper stone drill and return it.
>>
>>1067309
It actually makes a difference in most masonry, even in concrete if you have enough power. But that's stuff you could often drill with a regular drill, it just takes longer and might fuck up your bit.
No comparison to a rotary hammer though.
