How much does /diy/ hate this guy?
>>1039519
I dont even know who he is
Some sort of youtube star?
Who gives a shit
>>1039521
amen brotha
scotty kilmer is to /o/ as this asshole is to /diy/
>>1039530
I have never particularly liked Kilmer, but there isnt anything really wrong with him. What he says is usually accurate enough.
His older stuff was kinda cool but I kinda grew out of liking him. His best stuff was when he worked with Make: magazine

The guy has a video about repairing brake lines, he uses pressure fittings on them.
I hope you see the problem here.

>I hope you see the problem here.
Not really, they work just as well as a double flared fitting. And if you are taking out a section of brake line, it will probably fail at a different point before your fittings do.
Front to back new line is the only real correct way to repair brake lines. People clamoring about double flare fittings because they are legal while the compressions are technically not doesnt mean much in all reality.
I would be more mad at the fact he has a video sponsored by Gumout, saying that Seafoam is shit because its old and Gumout is the best

How about his 70 point IQ.
Or his constant HVHP saliva showers.
Or the fact that he looks like he's had Bruce Jenner amounts of plastic surgery.
Or how he seems like he's winging it everytime he does something, even though he's "been a McAnic for 40 years"

But he does burnouts before his videos

>Or how he seems like he's winging it everytime he does something, even though he's "been a McAnic for 40 years"
Everyone knows a car guy who is like that. Its infuriating, especially when they do some random shit that "should work" instead of using a more logical approach to the problem.
