Hey /diy/.

I'm looking to buy this 240v induction plate and run it off of my stove range socket. The problem is I can't find a plug adapter anywhere and I feel like i'm missing something. if you guys have a solution or I'm not identifying something correctly say something.

Actually, you need to go from NEMA 14-50p to NEMA 6-20R
Buy a cable with a 6-20r end on it.
Cut off whatever plug is on the other end.
Attach a 14-50p to the cut off end.
You now have a NEMA 14-50p to NEMA 6-20r adapter

ALT: buy the desired plug and receptacle and one foot of 12/3 cable - connect together

The middle blade and the round pin on the stove/range conector are connected together at the service/breaker box.
The middle blade is neutral and the round pin is ground/earth.
The two outside blades are L1 and L2 which are the 'hot' wires.
Connect outside blades on plug to outside blade sockets on the receptacle.
Connect round pin and/or middle blade on plug to the pin socket on the receptacle.
A multimeter check between the outside blade sockets should show ~240vac
A meter check between each outside socket and the middle blade or U-ground/earth should indicate ~120vac
The plate is sold by a company in Pennsylvania. It's intended for use in common USA wiring instances.
