Does anybody have tips on how to work with bones for jewelry? I plan to make a necklace, and I'm thinking of using some discarded chicken bones because they're readily available.
Pic...unrelated?

what are you trying to make?
you can just drill a hole through and string the bones on something.

i did that with a raccoon dick bone, just drilled a hole through and made a ring out of stainless welding rod and hung it with my bottle opener

How bad did it stink when you drilled? I'm planning on carving a few deer skulls with a dremel,my buddy's dad has donated to me.

Also OP probably should boil the shit out of dem bones to get everything somewhat kosher

it smelled some, not much.
I ran my drill press slow with a sharp bit and light pressure so it didn't heat up much. also it is not very thick so it went fast
