I'm looking for some open-source or free electronic/electrical simulation and design software, but one that is more geared towards larger stuff, like an electrical circuit for an automobile, rather than PCB and IC design, which is what a lot of them seem to be geared towards. Any Suggestions?

I don't think there are any free packages for this, since most DIY people only do single PCBs or similar.

If you are a student you can get Autocad Electrical for free. It is made exactly for this kind of thing, and it can synchronize circuits with Autodesk Inventor harnesses so you can route and see your connections in the physical assembly.
