Any boatfags no what the hole on the left is in this pic? I'm replacing the transom on this bass boat I just bought and have no clue what this is. Middle hole is obviously the bilge drain and the right hole is a hole for the aerator pump for the livewell. The tube is steel and is capped on both sides.

Another drain? I don't know why your bilge drain is sealed as that makes no sense.

The bilge drain isn't sealed though, it's clearly wide open.

Sorry on my phone it looked like foam.
Try unscrewing the cap.

congrats on being too stupid / stubborn to understand the op

Just a guess, but maybe a previous owner had some kind of aftermarket live/baitwell installed, in tandem with the onboard livewell.
Also- "damn, that's some ROT".

I wouldn't call myself a boatfag, but I've helped with working on some. The lesson I learned is that boats are expensive and diy means you have to know exactly what you're working with and what you're doing.
I could put you in touch with some good online boatfags and repair-types. Interested?

The big hole on the left? You mean the big hole called a boat OP? Yeah that's where you sit when you put the right part if pic in the water.
