From what I can see, it looks vaguely reminiscent of cheesecloth, only with a more regular weave.

it feels a bit like plastic. a very slight sticky feeling . it also is very hard to tear. the closest thing i can describe it to feeling similar to would be like a filter to a vacuum cleaner or something of the sort.

Can confirm this is the answer. Pic 2 gives it away, look towards the bottom. Kinda foamy, kinda tacky, all molded, not woven? Anti slip mats. Made for cabinet drawers & shelves. Cheap. Go to the dollar store.
